At El Albergue you will enjoy lush gardens and the early 20th century architecture nestled amongst mountains and Inca terraces a step away from the train to Machu Picchu.
El Albergue in 2019
Over the years, El Albergue Ollantaytambo has grown and changed from an historic train station hotel into a place of hospitality, tradition and sustainability. With an organic farm that provides produce for our renowned restaurant, a pachamanca lunch that honors the history and culture of the Andes, and an oasis of gardens bursting with flowers and fruits, we welcome our guests not only to stay but also to participate in the experience that is El Albergue.
We are pleased to invite you and your clients to join us in El Albergue, not just as a place to spend the night but rather as a world to explore and discover.
Beginning in March of 2019, El Albergue will adjust its services in order to share this experience with its guests. We ask that all reservations include a minimum two-night stay in the hotel, with a nightly rate that includes an optional Pachamanca Farm Lunch and visits to the distillery and coffee roasting plant for each guest.
We hope you are as excited as we are to begin this new chapter at El Albergue.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Thank you and saludos,
The Team at El Albergue Ollantaytambo

Distilling Cañazos and Creating Compuestos in the Peruvian Andes
You can find us working at the distillery almost every day, where we would be happy to talk to you about distillation, cañazo, and compuestos. Located next to the Hotel El Albergue de Ollantaytambo, right at the train stations, we invite you to try some of our spirits and experiments.
Cafe Mayu Coffee Roasters
We are proud to serve local coffee freshly roasted on-site. Cafe Mayu's coffee roasting always uses premium and fair-trade Cusco coffee, purchased directly from the producer. During a visit to our roasting facility, you can join in the selection of coffee beans and watch the roasting process where we use an automated system to register color and temperature.
Enjoy a freshly brewed coffee made with the same beans roasted and ground by our master roaster who will tell you about the bean's origin, variety of coffee as well as it's different processes, products and myths.
